Malaysia citizens need a visa to visit North Korea. The current status is: Visa Required. Due to safety concerns and in the wake of strained Malaysia–North Korea relations following the assassination of Kim Jong-nam at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the Malaysian government has prohibited all citizens from travelling to North Korea.
