Travellers who need to leave the airport may obtain a temporary entry permit from ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง. 5-วัน port วีซ่า (วีซ่าเมื่อเดินทางถึง) for Shenzhen if arriving at designated ports of entry from ฮ่องกง by land or sea, for stays within Shenzhen. 3-วัน port วีซ่า (วีซ่าเมื่อเดินทางถึง) if arriving in Zhuhai or Xiamen at designated ports of entry, for stays within the respective city. 15-วัน ยกเว้นวีซ่า entry for cruise ship passengers in tour groups, if arriving at any cruise port along จีน's coastline, including but not limited to Tianjin; Dalian; Shanghai; Lianyungang; Wenzhou; Zhoushan; Xiamen; Qingdao; Guangzhou; Shenzhen; Beihai; Haikou; Sanya. May further travel inland to all regions of coastal provinces (and equivalents) and Beijing. May apply for a port วีซ่า (วีซ่าเมื่อเดินทางถึง) if travelling for an urgent, qualified reason. Prior clearance for port วีซ่า is highly recommended or may be denied boarding by airlines. Visiting visas issued to British citizens are generally valid for 2 ปี.

As of 2025, you can visit คอสตาริกา without a วีซ่า for up to 180 วัน under a วีซ่านักท่องเที่ยว waiver. The exact period is at the discretion of the ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง officer เมื่อเดินทางถึง. If you plan to work, or stay for a longer period, see the Costa Rican สถานทูต in the UK.

British citizens must have their วีซ่า stamped in their หนังสือเดินทาง ล่วงหน้า of การเดินทางถึง in อิหร่าน. Due to ความกังวลด้านความมั่นคง, the UK Government advises its citizens to avoid travelling to อิหร่าน.

British citizens are no longer able to get a visit วีซ่าเมื่อเดินทางถึง in อิรัก. They must apply for a วีซ่า on the อี-วีซ่า portal of the Government of อิรัก at least 24 ชั่วโมง before you travel. The วีซ่า costs 160 USD and is valid for 30 วัน.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of มองโกเลีย has exempted visas for 34 countries from January 2023 to December 2025.

วีซ่าเมื่อเดินทางถึง is only available at Port Moresby Airport. อี-วีซ่า is available at Gurney Airport (Alotau), Mount Hagen Airport, Port Moresby Airport and Tokua Airport (Rabaul).

You do not need a วีซ่า to visit ปารากวัย. Normally permission to stay for 90 วัน เมื่อเดินทางถึง. Staying for another 90 วัน, check with the Paraguayan ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง Department (in Spanish).

If you wish to stay longer, you may make a request with the ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง Officer at the airport or contact the local General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs at least 3 วัน prior to the expiry date.

Extensions of up to 90 วัน can be arranged at any SAIME (ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง service) for a fee and must apply before one’s tourist card and stamp expire. One can only apply for or extend their (residency permit) at the main SAIME office in Caracas.
