Since 2023, Algerian authorities have set up a system for obtaining "visa à l'arrivée" for tourists participating in a trip authorized and organized by an Algerian Travel Agency, and recognized by the Algerian Ministry of Tourism, that includes at least one stop at one of the tourist sites in the Sahara. May further travel inland to all regions of coastal provinces (and equivalents) and Beijing. May apply for a port visa (visa à l'arrivée) if travelling for an urgent, qualified reason. Visitors must have a confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance and a return ticket Holders of a visa or entrance stamp of the Emirate of Dubai that is valable pour at least 21 jours are visa exempt.
