Since 2023, Algerian authorities have set up a system for obtaining "Visa on Arrival" for tourists participating in a trip authorized and organized by an Algerian Travel Agency, and recognized by the Algerian Ministry of Tourism, that includes at least one stop at one of the tourist sites in the Sahara. The visa is issued upon arrival only at Algiers International Airport or at Djanet Airport.
